Opening the new first floor: explore the model railway with virtual reality

Have you ever wanted to catapult yourself 'inside' the HZERO model railroad?
Now you can! Two years after opening, we decided to completely renovate the second floor with an interactive itinerary that starts from the cues offered by the world of cinema and the world of virtual reality and gaming to find new ways to explore the HZERO model.
If on the lower floor it is possible to come across the incredible playful and architectural work in all its reality, on the upper floor it is now possible to become a protagonist and play with the scenarios of the model, through two gaming stations with visors and a green screen corner that allows you to take a photograph inside the settings of the model.

Put on your visors and move around the city of HZERO

On the second floor, two gaming stations with visors and screens are waiting for you to explore the real town of HZERO: digital creator Stefano Concutelli made a digital scan of the real H0-scale landscape of the model and modeled it with 3D software, managing to add additional layers of details from alleys to stores, from foliage details to building textures.
You will then be able to walk through the streets of the village and look for some hidden details--we won't reveal which ones so as not to spoil all the fun!

Take your own souvenir photo and post it on social media

You can no longer leave the museum without a souvenir photo!
We've set up a small special effects movie set, thanks to which you can catapult yourself into the imaginary world of HZERO: you have 3 backgrounds to choose from, follow the instructions on the small column and position yourself playing with the other characters in the scene. The countdown will start and you can then have your 'immersive' souvenir photo, decide whether to print it or email it to post on your social channels, tagging the museum.
The funniest photos will be shared on our pages!

One more opportunity to come and discover our miniature railroad world for the first time, a great reason to visit us again.
All the new features will be available from June 19 by visiting the museum with the usual opening hours, Wednesday through Monday (closed Tuesday), 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. (last admission 6 p.m.).
